Late-ish on Saturday night . Back at the Alb’’ Plaza Catedral situated on Catedral square – (BTW no ‘h’ for Catedral in Basque Country) – in the midst of the usual mad social / bar / Pinxos scene – ) after a rather sociable evening thanks to some professional group management from Safa and Carla. A late rain and thunder have started – good for us – gets it over with as another 25k hike . 80% of which is flat tomorrow unlike previous days .
If you recognize screens like this it’s the floors at 10ft / 3m each that also tell the story 
We started in Larrasoana – 5k past Zubiri – remind me to stay in Zubiri next time . Trail friends tell us it was excellent as opposed to the rather world weary vibe given off by our village.
Thom & Luke now hike at 6.5k per hour – we cover a lot of ground. I wave them on sometimes and keep my pace to keep my feet in good order. Either way this makes up for their ‘last out of the Alberque’ daily starts. 
We make good time through the villages – meeting up with trail mates that become friends after a day or two of random meets , coffee , shared dinners and chats .

And on to breach the walls of Pamplona
With those streets and that atmosphere that you’ll find only in Spain – and it’s Saturday – it’s only going to get noisier 
After checking our Alberque – a lot of the time the activity is near the cathedral or main square in old Spain so well happy with its location . A quick Pano – Alb left ,Cathedral right !
We explore the Catedral – thinking 30 mins maybe . Stay for 1.5 hours – a vast complex beautiful, imaginative museum , interactive, peaceful . Thom and Luke stayed longer than I – imagine !
