Tall Ships Camino Inglés – June 2024

Gutë Morgen

A surprisingly good nights sleep in a packed telephone box sized cabin .

The Cabin Crew fares little better than some of the Hammock Habitués .

Ha 🤣🤣 CC v HH – “Lord of the Flies” moment already .

The MorgenSter – Dutch for Morning Star is a well known in these parts . We have drone pilot with us but he’s worried if the ship moves he won’t get we it back .

So here the Morgenster at Tall Ships Southampton – but this is exactly what we’re doing right now . Hope this video plays as it’s a big file for where I am right now ! 😎

The ship awakes early . A hearty breakfast ( might be a mistake ) and we are UP ! On deck for Muster and safety procedure :

While we make the most of this beautiful port – it’ll be the last land we see until Norhern Spain

Blue Watch – includes us in Cabin 7 not quite practically perfect in our duties

Here Leon one of the permanent crew starts our instruction on Tall Ship crewing.

And we see the last of Cornwall …..

The sales are now fully set – I can feel the power and roll of the sea . WOW ..

It’s about time.

We notice there’s a bar but it’ll be many days until I’m sure to use it ! 🤪

Signal low as we leave land behind now – so see you all in a week .
